Bake For Good - Thank you Mile Creek and Lyme Consolidated Schools
We received 140 loaves of delicious, freshly baked bread from the 4th and 5th grade students at Mile Creek and Lyme Consolidated School in Lyme/Old Lyme. Each student was given a bag of flour on Friday, after learning the art of making bread from scratch. They each made 2 loaves at home over the weekend, one to keep, and one to give away to us, as part of the "King Arthur Flour Bake for Good" Kids Program.
The kids put their math and science skills to work while making something delicious and nutritious. They are giving back to their community by sharing some of what they have made with others.
Thank you! Our patrons will truly enjoy the delicious, fresh, homemade bread!
